{"id":8271,"date":"2012-11-06T20:41:54","date_gmt":"2012-11-07T01:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=8271"},"modified":"2012-11-06T20:41:54","modified_gmt":"2012-11-07T01:41:54","slug":"the-next-next-menu-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/06\/the-next-next-menu-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"The next Next menu\u2014revealed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While I was off eating at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/11\/02\/my-first-day-at-the-2012-world-fantasy-convention-in-six-or-is-it-seven-photos\/\">The Black Hoof<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/11\/03\/5-photos-from-my-second-day-at-the-2012-world-fantasy-convention\/\">Lai Wah Heen<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/11\/04\/5-photos-from-my-third-day-at-the-2012-world-fantasy-convention\/\">Momofuku Shoto<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/11\/05\/7-photos-from-my-fourth-and-final-day-of-the-2012-world-fantasy-convention\/\">Cafe Boulud<\/a> in Toronto, some exciting foodie news was revealed which I&#8217;ve only now caught up with&#8212;and it&#8217;s news I&#8217;ve been waiting to hear ever since the artists behind Next restaurant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/10\/10\/whats-next-for-next\/\">asked <\/a>what we&#8217;d like to see tackled for future <em>Brigadoon<\/em>-ish menus.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/chicago.eater.com\/archives\/2012\/11\/05\/next-the-hunt.php \">Eater<\/a>, Penny Pollack <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pennypollack\/status\/265184624949469184\">announced<\/a> on Twitter the other day that  Kyoto would be followed by &#8220;The Hunt,&#8221; which would be a &#8220;midwestern game\u2013focused menu.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/NextNextMenuHunt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/NextNextMenuHunt-300x116.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"NextNextMenuHunt\" width=\"300\" height=\"116\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/NextNextMenuHunt-300x116.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/NextNextMenuHunt.jpg 556w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Plus, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=497304293635480&#038;id=114693845229862&#038;comment_id=5765827&#038;offset=0&#038;total_comments=5\">over on Facebook<\/a>, someone shared that &#8220;I was told last night by Chef Rene that Vegan will be the menu following The Hunt. I&#8217;m not 100% sure if he was joking or not, but he seemed pretty serious to me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I hope that time and money will allow me to attend seatings for both.
