And since it looks like all of the places I plan to hit during November&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfc2012.org\/toronto01.html\">World Fantasy Convention<\/a> are a distance from the hotel, which is in Richmond Hill, about half an hour outside of downtown Toronto,  I&#8217;ll be renting a car&#8212;the first time I&#8217;ve ever done that internationally.<\/p>\n<p>But as you&#8217;ll see below, it should be worth it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Black Hoof<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BlackHoofBoneMarrow.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7742\" title=\"BlackHoofBoneMarrow\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BlackHoofBoneMarrow-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BlackHoofBoneMarrow-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BlackHoofBoneMarrow.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The #1 restaurant I want to hit during the con is<a href=\"http:\/\/theblackhoof.com\/\"> The Black Hoof<\/a>, which is a cash only, no reservations establishment. But with <a href=\"http:\/\/theblackhoof.com\/food\/\">a menu<\/a> featuring such delicacies as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/rph\/10\/778105\/toronto-black-hoof-restaurant-photos?page=2\">roasted bone marrow<\/a>, beef tendon &amp; grits, foie &amp; nutella, and spicy horse tartare, how can you pass it up? Adventurous eaters, please raise your hands if you want to tag along.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Momofuku Noodle Bar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MomofukuPorkBun.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7741\" title=\"MomofukuPorkBun\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MomofukuPorkBun-300x192.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MomofukuPorkBun-300x192.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MomofukuPorkBun.jpg 615w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/momofuku.com\/toronto\/noodle-bar-to\/\">The Toronto branch<\/a> of David Chang&#8217;s amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/momofuku.com\/new-york\/noodle-bar\/\">Momofuku Noodle Bar<\/a> only opened <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/living\/food\/article\/1259487--inside-opening-day-at-momofuku-noodle-bar-in-toronto\"><em>yesterday<\/em><\/a>, which should give them enough time to work out all the kinks before we get there. Again, no reservations, but for those famous steamed pork buns, it&#8217;ll be worth the wait.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Burger&#8217;s Priest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/TheBurgersPriest.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7739\" title=\"TheBurgersPriest\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/TheBurgersPriest-300x235.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/TheBurgersPriest-300x235.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/TheBurgersPriest.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was planning to head to <a href=\"http:\/\/theburgerspriest.com\/\">The Burger&#8217;s Priest<\/a> as part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/07\/14\/god-bless-the-merica-burger\/\">my search<\/a> for the world&#8217;s greatest burger, but now that I&#8217;ve seen a list of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontolife.com\/daily\/daily-dish\/from-the-print-edition-daily-dish\/2012\/05\/16\/25-best-burgers\/\">Toronto\u2019s 25 best burgers ranked in order of heart-stopping, messy magnificence<\/a>,&#8221; and found that they&#8217;re only ranked #6, I don&#8217;t know <em>what<\/em> to think! Locals with an opinion as to which joint serves the best can&#8217;t-miss Toronto burger, you&#8217;ve got about five weeks to state your case.<\/p>\n<p>I was intrigued by the concept of  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onoir.com\/TO\/frames.htm\">O.NOIR<\/a>, a restaurant with food served in the dark by blind waiters, but since the consensus over on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/o-noir-toronto\">Yelp<\/a> seems to be that the idea was better than the food, I believe I&#8217;ll pass.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll find other restaurants to add to the list between now and November 1.
