{"id":4626,"date":"2011-12-09T22:22:18","date_gmt":"2011-12-10T03:22:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=4626"},"modified":"2011-12-09T22:22:18","modified_gmt":"2011-12-10T03:22:18","slug":"rejection-slips-of-dead-magazines-18-hardware-1990","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2011\/12\/09\/rejection-slips-of-dead-magazines-18-hardware-1990\/","title":{"rendered":"Rejection slips of dead magazines #18: Hardware (1990)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I only had a chance to make a single submission to <em>Hardware<\/em>, which billed itself as &#8220;The Magazine of Technophilia.&#8221; I apparently ran out of time to make further submissions, because I now see that <em>Hardware<\/em> only published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.locusmag.com\/index\/b536.htm#A7869\">two issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I remember very little about the magazine, but it must have been a decent market, because I see it published contributions by Paul Di Filippo, Robert Frazier, Bruce Boston,  Jonathan V. Post, and other names you&#8217;d recognize.<\/p>\n<p>All I ever sent editor Jimm Gall was one poem titled &#8220;Friends,&#8221; no copy of which currently exists.
