Yesterday, they were talking up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2011\/05\/16\/who-wrote-those-marvel-splash-page-headers-in-the-mid-70s\/\">the character synopsis blurbs<\/a> that used to appear on top of Marvel splash pages, and <a href=\"http:\/\/bronzeagebabies.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/those-distinctive-marvel-elements-of.html\">today<\/a> they wrote about house ads and other comics ephemera. Which, though anonymous, also had authors.<\/p>\n<p>And sometimes that author was me.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve mentioned before how I wrote the Bullpen Bulletins page for a couple of years (save Stan&#8217;s Soapbox, of course), as well as a set of Marvel Slurpee cups, but I also wrote a whole bunch of house ads.
