{"id":2531,"date":"2011-04-07T08:23:49","date_gmt":"2011-04-07T12:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=2531"},"modified":"2011-04-07T08:23:49","modified_gmt":"2011-04-07T12:23:49","slug":"15-days-of-my-face","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2011\/04\/07\/15-days-of-my-face\/","title":{"rendered":"15 days of my face"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I bought and started using a new iPhone app 15 days ago&#8212;<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/everyday\/id398081659?mt=8\">Everyday<\/a>, which prompts you  to take a picture of yourself each day at a pre-set time, then assembles them into a video that comes off as a time-lapsed movie of your face. I saw it recommended somewhere, maybe Gizmodo, and it sounded like a fun idea for $1.99.<\/p>\n<p>Here are those first 15 days.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"480\" height=\"390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/58rfcqU51vM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I realized two things watching this. <\/p>\n<p>First, it speeds by pretty quickly, and probably won&#8217;t really be interesting until many months of pics have been shot. Though if 15 days runs less than two seconds, that means even a year will be under a minute. <\/p>\n<p>Second, even that&#8217;s probably isn&#8217;t enough, and  to make this really interesting I&#8217;d need to do something dramatic, something that would make the changing pics come more alive.  Like &#8230; grow a beard. Which I just might do once I return from World Horror in Austin, so I can see how it looks.<\/p>\n<p>And actually, I realized <em>three<\/em> things while watching this. Probably the only one interested in watching pics of me speed by is &#8230; me.
