(Well, as far as I knew. Feel free to prove me wrong.)  But all that&#8217;s changed, as my visits to such places as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2015\/07\/02\/only-the-brisket-knows-brooklyn\/\">Hometown Bar-B-Que<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2015\/10\/21\/where-and-what-i-ate-during-my-nyc-trip\/\">BrisketTown<\/a> show. So when this episode&#8217;s guest recommended we record at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnbrownseriousbbq.com\">John Brown Smokehouse<\/a>, which Eater <a href=\"http:\/\/ny.eater.com\/maps\/nyc-best-barbecue-restaurants-brisket-ribs-pulled-pork\">has  called<\/a> \u201cthe most faithful rendition of Kansas City-style barbecue in NYC,\u201d I was <em>so<\/em> in.<\/p>\n<p>My guest for this 28th episode of Eating the Fantastic is my former Syfy boss of more than 13 years, Craig Engler, who\u2019s now the Co-Creator\/Writer\/Co-Executive Producer of the hit zombie TV show <em>Z Nation<\/em>, which was recently renewed for a fourth  season on Syfy.
