I&#8217;ve previously been there for &#8220;The Hunger of Empty Vessels&#8221; (on the 2009 ballot), &#8220;Petrified&#8221; (2008), &#8220;Almost the Last Story by Almost the Last Man&#8221; (2007), &#8220;The Last Supper&#8221; (2003), and &#8220;A Plague on Both Your Houses&#8221; (1997).<\/p>\n<p>One reason I&#8217;d love to move on to the next stage, aside from what fun it is to spend a few months being a nominee, is that according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfadb.com\/Bram_Stoker_Awards_Tallies\">Locus<\/a>, even if I get there only to lose, I&#8217;d still win! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/NeverWonStoker.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-21333\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/NeverWonStoker-300x160.jpg\" alt=\"NeverWonStoker\" width=\"300\" height=\"160\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/NeverWonStoker-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/NeverWonStoker-768x408.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/NeverWonStoker.jpg 786w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because  I\u2019d then be tied for the most nominations without a win <em>ever<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>Voting on the preliminary ballot will occur from February 1 through February 15, and the final ballot will be announced on February 23.
