This is the first I&#8217;ve ever heard of it.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/BabyRuthCandy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/BabyRuthCandy-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"BabyRuthCandy\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17947\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/BabyRuthCandy-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/BabyRuthCandy.jpg 718w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 212px) 100vw, 212px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And how many recipes could there possibly be?  Other than using them in those cookies the sailor seems so thrilled to be biting into, I can&#8217;t think of many other uses for them.<\/p>\n<p>Besides&#8212;what&#8217;s he doing taking cookies from a strange woman anyway?  Wasn&#8217;t he paying attention to all those WWII ads for venereal disease?
