{"id":17344,"date":"2009-08-13T09:14:27","date_gmt":"2009-08-13T13:14:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=17344"},"modified":"2015-01-01T22:45:39","modified_gmt":"2015-01-02T03:45:39","slug":"froggy-froggy-afternoon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2009\/08\/13\/froggy-froggy-afternoon\/","title":{"rendered":"Froggy, froggy afternoon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the fiasco of my trip home from the Montreal Worldcon&#8212;which I was reporting on in real time over at <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/scottedelman\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/scott.edelman\">Facebook<\/a>, but which I haven&#8217;t had the time to write up here yet&#8212;I got right down to business, digging into the mountain of mail which awaited me and getting today&#8217;s online content ready for <a href=\"http:\/\/scifiwire.com\/index.php\"><i>Sci Fi Wire<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But then I took a brief break to step out onto the back deck and admire the garden. As I came back inside, I saw something  tiny and  brown land on the glass of the door. I at first thought it was an insect, but as I knelt to look more closely, I saw that it was this little guy:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/UGUST2009FROG.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/UGUST2009FROG-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"UGUST2009FROG\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/UGUST2009FROG-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/UGUST2009FROG.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He was small! Definitely smaller than a quarter, and perhaps no larger than a nickel.
