{"id":16819,"date":"2009-01-08T22:34:40","date_gmt":"2009-01-09T03:34:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=16819"},"modified":"2014-12-11T12:00:42","modified_gmt":"2014-12-11T17:00:42","slug":"calling-all-hwa-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2009\/01\/08\/calling-all-hwa-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Calling all HWA members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2008\/12\/15\/for-active-hwa-members-only\/\" target=\"_blank\">I made a mistake last month<\/a> when I offered copies of my short story, &#8220;Petrified,&#8221; which appeared in <i>Desolate Souls<\/i>, the World Horror Convention souvenir program book last year, to active HWA members only.  <\/p>\n<p>Though <i>voting<\/i> is limited to active members, <i>all<\/i> members of the Horror Writers Association, and not just actives, may <i>recommend<\/i> a work.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DesolateSouls.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DesolateSouls.jpg\" alt=\"DesolateSouls\" width=\"185\" height=\"288\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-203\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With only a week to go until recs close for this year&#8217;s preliminary ballot, this is a reminder that you can either go to the rec list and click on the link to  download a copy of &#8220;Petrified,&#8221;  or else drop me an e-mail and I&#8217;ll send it to you as an attachment via return e-mail.  <\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d prefer, and if there&#8217;s enough time, I&#8217;ll even get a uniformed government employee to deliver it to you.
