{"id":16276,"date":"2014-11-01T10:33:17","date_gmt":"2014-11-01T14:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=16276"},"modified":"2014-11-01T10:35:28","modified_gmt":"2014-11-01T14:35:28","slug":"we-finally-make-it-to-table-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2014\/11\/01\/we-finally-make-it-to-table-21\/","title":{"rendered":"We finally make it to Volt&#8217;s Table 21"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve eaten at Bryan Voltaggio&#8217;s Frederick restaurant Volt multiple  times, both in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2013\/09\/30\/dining-with-a-top-chef-master\/\">Main Dining Room<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2012\/06\/27\/our-7-course-38th-anniversary-meal-at-volt\/\">Chef\u2019s Dining Room<\/a>. But somehow, we&#8217;ve never been able to snag reservations at Table 21, the 8-seat counter which wraps around the open kitchen, where you&#8217;re served a tasting menu comprised of (what else?) twenty-one courses. Reservations become available at 9:00 a.m. exactly one month in advance , and I guess I just never jumped quickly enough for the days I was seeking.<\/p>\n<p>But last week, serendipity worked in my favor. Old friends who&#8217;d long been drooling over my various Volt reports were visiting from out of town, and I&#8217;d gotten reservations for us in the Chef&#8217;s Dining Room.
