And surprise, surprise, Apple turns out to have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/support\/iphone5-battery\/\">battery replacement program<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Because:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 5 devices may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently. The affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited serial number range.<\/p>\n<p>If your iPhone 5 is experiencing these symptoms and meets the eligibility requirements noted below, Apple will replace your iPhone 5 battery, free of charge.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And also surprise, surprise, plugging in my iPhone&#8217;s serial number shows that I&#8217;m eligible. So I made an appointment at the Genius Bar, and am hoping the process won&#8217;t be a long one.<\/p>\n<p>Since the site gives no indication of how much time this will take, I went  to Google and started typing, &#8220;How long does it take &#8230; &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But before I could complete the phrase, autocomplete filled in the five most popular things online searchers are wondering about.
