<\/a><\/p>\nAt the San Jose Airport Thursday with Cynthia Felice<\/strong>, who sat immediately in front of me on the flight from Denver. And as it turned out, Robin Wayne Baily sat in front of her!<\/p>\n Still high from an amazing Thursday night meal at Manresa<\/a> (about which I’ll try to share more later), Jenn Reese<\/strong>, Jaym Gates<\/strong> and I were snapped by fellow co-conspirator Barry Goldblatt,<\/p>\n In the hospitality suite Friday, Nalo Hopkinson<\/strong> and I spent several hours discussing food, food, music, food, and food. Oh, and also food.<\/p>\n Someone brought a copy of the first comic book I ever wrote<\/a> to Friday night’s mass autographing session!<\/p>\n I first met Samuel R. Delany<\/strong>—seen here before the Saturday banquet at which he was named SFWA’s newest Grand Master—at a LunaCon in 1972.<\/p>\n The Big Wow! ComicFest was going on at the convention center next door to where the Nebula Awards weekend took place, so I snuck over Sunday and reconnected with Mike Zeck, who drew the Thanos solo story<\/a> I’d written which had appeared in a Logan’s Run<\/em><\/a> comic in 1977. We hadn’t seen each other in 30+ years.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
