And Brooks even got his at the same time as Leonard Nimoy! <\/p>\n<p>If you believe what he had to say in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2014\/02\/16\/mel-brooks-is-always-funny-and-often-wise-in-this-1975-playboy-interview.html\">a February 1975 <em>Playboy<\/em> interview<\/a>, that is &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>Playboy:<\/strong> Tell us about your ears.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brooks:<\/strong> My ears are very much like Leonard Nimoy\u2019s\u2014you know, Mr. Spock on <em>Star Trek<\/em>, the guy whose ears come to a point. It happened like this: One night Leonard and I went out and before dinner we had 35 margaritas. We woke up in a kennel. There were four great Danes, two on each side of us. Their ears had already been clipped. And so had Leonard\u2019s. I reached up, felt my ears and, alas, mine had, too.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now you know.<\/p>\n<p>Plenty  of other fun&#8212;though highly suspect&#8212;anecdotes there.
