Mario Guslandi  has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2007\/12\/09\/the-awful-truth-about-zencore\/\">extremely kind things to say there<\/a> concerning  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zone-sf.com\/wordworks\/zencore1.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Awful Truth About The Circus,&#8221;<\/a> published earlier this year in <i>Zencore!<\/i>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>To me, the best story in the book is by far &#8220;The Awful Truth About The Circus&#8221; by Scott Edelman, an extraordinary, insightful tale of loneliness and despair, in which the disappointments of life affect a small-town young girl.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A nice parting gift from 2007 in the year&#8217;s final few hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the year comes to an end, I&#8217;ve just learned about a positive review of one of my short stories that appeared in The Zone.
