{"id":12183,"date":"2014-01-04T20:25:28","date_gmt":"2014-01-05T01:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/?p=12183"},"modified":"2014-01-04T20:25:28","modified_gmt":"2014-01-05T01:25:28","slug":"grant-achatz-teases-the-next-restaurant-chicago-steakhouse-menu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/wordpress\/2014\/01\/04\/grant-achatz-teases-the-next-restaurant-chicago-steakhouse-menu\/","title":{"rendered":"Grant Achatz teases the Next restaurant Chicago Steakhouse menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Though I visited Chicago for all three Next restaurant meals last year&#8212;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2013\/05\/24\/so-how-was-the-hunt-at-next-well\/\">The Hunt<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2013\/06\/02\/my-vegan-meal-at-next-was-so-good-im-going-to-have-to-eat-it-twice\/\">Vegan<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2013\/11\/19\/another-amazing-meal-at-next-celebrating-the-bocuse-dor-competition\/\">Bocuse d&#8217;Or<\/a>&#8212;I sadly have no plans to return in 2014. That has nothing to do with a lack of desire, but rather,  a recognition that with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottedelman.com\/2013\/12\/31\/in-which-i-blast-off-from-blastr\/\">my recent change in employment<\/a>, some things had to go, and travel to Next, while resulting in lifetime peak meals,  was one of those somethings&#8212;especially since we won&#8217;t be canceling our trips later this year to either Easter Island or the London Worldcon.<\/p>\n<p>But that doesn&#8217;t mean I&#8217;m still not intensely interested in what Grant Achatz, Dave Beran, and Nick Kokonas have in store. The next Next menu&#8212;Chicago Steak&#8212;is currently being served to friends and family in advance of its debut to the public, and yesterday Achatz teased us by tweeting a pic of the menu. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\">\n<p>First time serving actual food.
