When Carol Pinchefsky and Keith DeCandido recently appeared on Jim Freund’s WBAI radio show Hour of the Wolf<\/em>, the topic at hand was Doctor Who. However, I\u2014along with my durian\u2014also became a topic for discussion.<\/p>\n

The durian discussed\u2014along with a jackfruit\u2014made an appearance at Readercon in 2011. And for those who don’t know what either of those fabled fruits look like, behold! Here are the very fruits which I stored in my hotel room while waiting for the Friday night “Meet the Prose” party to begin.<\/p>\n

If you’ve no experience with either durian or jackfruit and are wondering about their size, here for contrast is a photo of me with one of the durian I brought to a Balticon<\/a> several years ago.<\/p>\n

So what went down at Readercon that was so entertaining three people devoted time on a radio show to talking about it? Give the new episode of Hour of the Wolf<\/a> a listen—from the 9:07 mark until 11:49—and learn.<\/p>\n
