(But is there ever a night during which the Internet trolls <em>don&#8217;t<\/em> have their knives out for John Scalzi?) <\/p>\n<p>After he posted <a href=\"http:\/\/whatever.scalzi.com\/2013\/05\/03\/having-a-fine-time-at-rt-booklovers-convention\/\">a dashing photo of himself<\/a> wearing  <a href=\"http:\/\/rachelcaine.com\/welcome\/\">Rachel Caine<\/a>&#8216;s red shoes at the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/scalzi\/status\/331561345868779520\">The sexist dipshits are passing around the picture of me in high heels, as if I did something shameful.
