Humanity has fallen and the robots that served\u2014and possibly destroyed\u2014them, are coming to the end of their lifespans. Desperate to find a way to keep its only friend functional, BR@X15 is scouring the planet for the parts needed to restore them. The tale that unfolds is heartbreaking and disturbing, and absolutely wonderful.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I was surprised to see this tale described as &#8220;brutal&#8221; and &#8220;heartbreaking and disturbing,&#8221; because I see it as a bittersweet love story. But I look forward to hearing what <em>you<\/em> think of it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Learning to Accept What&#8217;s to Come&#8221; will be available for non-subscribers to read for free on December 20, so for now, you can only read the story by <a href=\"https:\/\/apex-magazine.com\/product\/apex-magazine-issue-134\/\">buying issue #134<\/a>.
