I’ve always been a sucker for the short, twist-ending horror tale. That’s why I loved EC Comics and the Twilight Zone, and that’s what I tried to replicate with my Tales From the Darkside TV treatments and my many stories for the DC horror titles.
My first such tale was a brief three-pager, “The Fastest Draw in the East,” drawn by Mark Bright and Aubrey Bradford, about a wannabe comic book artist who comes to a bad end.
