FOUND: Two 1970 Young Love romance scripts by Jack Miller

Found among late my late sister-in-law Ellen Vartanoff’s papers — two scripts written by Jack Miller for Young Love #82 (October 1970).

Miller wrote comics from the ’40s through the ’60s, including such titles as Deadman, Batman, Aquaman, Blackhawk, Jimmy Olsen, and many others.

Here’s the first page of both the script for “He’s the One I Want” and the resulting story.

I don’t recognize who wrote Vinnie Colletta’s name across the top of the script — I assume it was Young Love‘s editor, editor Dick Giordano — but it ended up assigned to Win Mortimer.

And here’s “Please, Please … Make Him Forget Her” from the same issue, drawn by Gray Morrow.

Someday, when I have time, I’ll scan the entirety of these scripts — along with the two I’d previously shared by Otto Binder — for the benefit of historians.

Oh, and if anyone who follows me has editing powers over at the Grand Comics Database, please add Miller’s name to these two stories, which currently show as blank.
