Looks like it’s awards season again …

Since all the cool kids seem to be doing this, I figured—why not me? So here are details on the two stories of mine published in 2015, so you can, if you’re a voting member of certain organizations, nominate them if so moved … but only after you’ve read them and judged them worthy, of course.

First up—

Back in March, my 13,000-word zombie story “Becoming Invisible, Becoming Seen” was published in Dark Discoveries #31.

It’s a dark but (hopefully) uplifting horror story of love and obsession, and if you’re a voting member of a group for which that sort of thing seems a good fit, drop me a line, and I’ll be glad to send along a PDF.

My second story of the year, “And the Trees Were Happy,” is a 2,600-word bittersweet fantasy due out this month in the anthology Genius Loci.

Here, too, if you’re a voting member of an organization for which that type of story would be appropriate, and would like to give it a read, let me know.

Or, if you’d prefer to listen to the tale, check out my reading from Readercon 2014 below.

As you’ll see if you watch the video to the end, this piece chokes me up, and has all three times I’ve read it publicly. I hear it made the copyeditor cry as well, so I’m looking forward to finding out how it affects you should you happen to read it.

Thanks!

End of semi-commercial message … we now return you to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.
