The biggest hint that your revised theory is the correct one would be the inclusion of Namor in these character studies, since he was also in the tv line-up. On the other hand, why didn’t the FF or Spidey make the transition? (The Wiki entry you linked to mentions the production company not owning the rights to the FF.)
